Project duration: 05.01.2015 - 31.07.2017  
Within the framework of the Chisinau Water Development Programme, Apa-Canal Chisinau (the Client) has received financial support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). ICON Institute Engineering GmbH in consortium with Sachsen Wasser GmbH and Business Research Company (together hereinafter the Consultant) has been awarded Contract to support project implementation.

Assessment of the existing set up of Ungheni town in terms of administrative service provision and development of the concept and necessary documents to establish the Citizen Information and Service Center for Ungheni town (Moldova)

Under a contract with Chemonics, within USAID Local Government Support Project, BRC carried out Assessment of the existing set up of Ungheni town in terms of administrative service provision and developed the concept and necessary documents to establish the Citizen Information and Service Center for Ungheni town.
   
Design and Delivery of a Training Programme on Regulatory Impact Assessment for civil servants and members of the Moldovan Parliament
Area of specialization:

 Project duration: 02.05.2014 - 30.10.2014  
This assignment was carried out for the UNDP Project “Improving the quality of Moldovan democracy through parliamentary and electoral support”. The main tasks and deliverables included development of materials and delivery of RIA training courses.
   
Design and delivery of a training program on the principles, methods and mechanisms of the regulatory impact assessment (RIA) for Moldovan Customs Service civil servants

Development of the regulatory impact analysis (RIA) for implementation of new International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) in Moldova and promote changes in the regulatory constraint related to the existing system of mandatory testing and registration of new plant varieties

Prepared a detailed RIA for eight International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) to be implemented in Moldova.
   
The Service Trade Restrictiveness Index in Moldova (Construction)
Area of specialization:

 Project duration: 15.04.2014  
BRC under the contact with OECD, related to the project “Supporting the implementation of CEFTA 2006 in the areas of reduction and elimination of non-tariff barriers, trade in services and in relation to the investment related clauses”, researched the relevant national legislation for Moldova and completed the Services Trade Restrictiveness Index (STRI) database for the construction services.
   
Training and know-how transfer on transposition of EU Directives in the field of quality infrastructure in Moldova

This assignment was implemented by the consortium of “Romanian Bureau of Legal Metrology – National Institute for Metrology”; “Romanian Movement for Quality” and “Business Research Company”.
  
Development of the New Regulatory Reform Strategy for 2013–2020 and Action Plan for Moldova
Area of specialization:

 Project duration: 01.06.2012 - 30.11.2012  
BRC in consortium with DAI Europe, under a contract with the World Bank Competitiveness Enhancement Project Implementation Unit, carried out two tasks: evaluated the regulatory reforms implemented in Moldova until 2012 and developed the New Regulatory Reform Strategy until 2020 and its Action Plan
   
Business Climate, Legal, and Institutional Reform (BIZCLIR) Assessment in Moldova
Area of specialization:

 Project duration: 03.09.2012 - 31.10.2012  
BRC as subcontractor of USAID/BRITE (Business Regulatory, Investment, and Trade Environment Program) implemented by Chemonics, carried out a Business Climate, Legal, and Institutional Reform (BIZCLIR) assessment in Moldova

Area of specialization:

 Project duration: 02.07.2012 - 31.08.2012

USAID Business Regulatory and Tax Administration Reform Project in Moldova, implemented by DAI as contractor and BRC as DAI subcontractor for services : • “Guillotine 2+”, streamlining the construction authorization, studies on opportunities for establishing one-stop-shops (OSS), “Doing Business” Indicators Reform, improvement of business licensing procedures, training and assistance in strengthening the capacity, assistance to USAID|BIZTAR project and Ministry of Economy, optimization of reporting requirements, worked with most of the regulators
  
Development of RIA Manual for regulations in agriculture and development and delivery of RIA training seminars for civil servants in agriculture (Moldova)

BRC as subcontractor of USAID/ACED (Agriculture Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project) implemented by DAI, carried out the development of the RIA Manual for regulations in agriculture and developed and delivered RIA training seminar for civil servants in agriculture.
   
National Quality Award in Moldova for 2010 edition, implemented by BRC under contract with World Bank Competitiveness Enhancement Project in Moldova

 Project duration: 01.02.2011 - 29.04.2011  
Under a contract with the World Bank Competitiveness Enhancement Project in Moldova, BRC conducted assessment of 14 companies for 2010 edition of the National Quality Award in Moldova. The National Quality Award was based on assessment criteria of the Quality Excellence Model in Moldova approved by Government Decision nr. 1033 dated September 14, 2007.
