BRC as subcontractor of USAID/ACED (Agriculture Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project) implemented by DAI, carried out the following tasks and deliverables:

• Developed RIA Manual for regulations in agriculture, which would address poor understanding and poor capacities to perform RIA components, i.e. problem definition, identification of alternatives, assessing impacts, organizing consultation, ensuring compliance, addressing monitoring and evaluation. The manual also addressed the situation of performing RIA for cases related to harmonization with EU regulations.
• Developed and delivered RIA training seminar for civil servants in agriculture, based on the RIA Manual developed under this assignment. RIA training seminar was developed and delivered to build capacity for civil servants in elaborating and assessing justified and cost-effective regulations in agriculture.
